Yellowstone

Yellowstone is located in the states in northwest Wyoming and is also a part of the neighboring states of Montana and Idaho. This beautiful location would have to be one of the most visited national parks on this list. It is very well known for its wildlife-rich scenery and of course the famous tourist attraction of the Old Faithful geyser. The Yellowstone area is one that is very rich with history, the area was in fact a traditionally Native American part of the states so it is actually a very cultural location with a very interesting story.

 

Yosemite

It seems that the states are very proud of their national parks and the next to feature on this list would have to be the Californian location of Yosemite National Park. Yosemite is best known for its iconic valley and a truly serene atmosphere that comes with the vast mountains of granite that can be seen from all over this park. Thanks to the large mountain there is a significant amount of shade at this location however this has brought a unique attraction to the park with a special type of grass that grows well in the shade, as well as an array of other wildlife.

 

The Grand Canyon

There should be no question as to why this iconic location made it onto this list, the Grand Canyon is a protected national park and an American landmark. The vast valleys of bright red-orange clay that make up the Grand Canyon would have to go down as one of the most recognized American attractions to ever exist.
